Memorial Day Weekend

The Saturday of Memorial Day weekend we headed to Provo to visit Alissa's grave.


Then Grandpa and Grandma Rawlinson


After that we went to eat at Spicy Thai. It was really yummy!

On Sunday we celebrated Kate's, Colleen's and Great Grandma Bartlett's birthdays.

Nate and the kids decorated this beautiful cake for Kate.


Sam made this yummy but drippy strawberry cake for Grandma.


Grandma turned 83!

On Monday we got up and went to the Herriman City breakfast. Then we went to two cemeteries for Grandpa/Grandma Richardson and Grandpa Bentley.

After that we all went to Jane and Paul's for a BBQ.

We had a cake for Kate there too because it was her actual birthday.


I had to buy two cakes to try and get it to spread to all of us!

Later that day we went home and Kate opened her presents.


I think Isaac was more excited to open them than she was!

Camping in the Backyard

Nate and the boys had to miss the fathers and sons camping trip this year because of musical practice so we decided to make it up to them by camping in the backyard. We ate hotdogs for dinner and had homemade ice cream and 'smores for dessert.

Nate taught the kids how to set up the tent.


Kate was excited that she got to be there too.


Joseph was a great helper and very cheerful.


Isaac gave the experience a thumbs up.


Eli did well this year. We went to the ward campout last summer and he was terrified to go in the tent. He screamed when it was time to go to sleep. This year he seemed fine. Thank goodness!

Preschool party at Wheeler Farm

We finished our year of preschool with the cousins and decided to celebrate at Wheeler Farm.

These ducks and geese were crossing the path right in front of us.


Chickens...it was so fun to hear the rooster crow.


My boys were off track so we had a big group of kids.

Mother's Day

I had a really nice mother's day this year.

The kids all brought home these notes from Primary. This one is Isaac's:
I think that last one is supposed to say, "beautiful."


This is Joseph's: he says I look, sound and smell like a "Huoman."


and Kate's: she says I sound and smell like "nothing," I'm not sure which one is better.


The Primary gave the kids this M&M game to play with their mothers. It was fun.


in Kate's class they made a flower out of their traced hand print. It was so cute and even smelled like a flower. She chose purple because she knows I like purple.

These are the beautiful flowers that Nate gave me. He also gave me an automatic Ice cream maker. We have already used it 3 times!

Nate also made dinner. I bought I turkey way back in November and it has been downstairs in the freezer all this time. He cooked it and it was delicious!

Graduation from "friendly preschool"

This year Kate attended two preschools. One with her cousins where my sisters and I take turns teaching and one with some friends in the ward and neighborhood. To not get the two preschools confused she named the one with friends, "friendly preschool."

The last week of April we had our graduation. Kate was feeling shy that day so this is all the kids minus Kate, singing one of the songs they learned.


Ruel, Ellie, Jacob, Bryson, Willis, Mom, Eli and Kate. (She would only be in the picture if I stood with her.) Jacob and Eli were the younger siblings, the class had 5 kids. I think this preschool was a good experience for Kate because she had to go to class by herself. It will be good practice for Kindergarten next year.

MS Walk 2010

On Saturday, April 24th we went to the Gateway for the MS Walk. The weather could not have been better!

We all got to wear matching t-shirts for our team KrysKross. Eli refused to put his on.


the MS color is orange so I asked Isaac if he wanted to wear this hat. I'm glad he did, it keep the sun off his face and made everyone smile.

Our team was the largest, so we were supposed to start the race at the front. For some reason they didn't announce that it was time to start until it was too late for ALL of us to get up there. Oh well.


The boys brought their scooters but soon got tired of them and decided to just walk.
