The Bentley Reunion
The second week of August brought the Bentley Family Reunion. We started it off with a dinner for all the married adults at my sister Ruth's house. We ate Lasagna, salad, garlic bread and dessert. Then we played board games. It was really nice to have an evening without the kids. Every year we tribute someone and this year it was Nate's turn. I got to give a tribute to him out loud at the dinner and then everyone else wrote their tribute in a book. People said some really nice things! The next day we met at the Salt Lake City cemetery downtown. We all wore matching Bentley t-shirts with the Bentley car logo on it. We used GPS devices and found some of the prophets' graves. Then we went to Sugarhouse park and had a potluck lunch. Our kids got their shirts good and dirty! Then we met again that night for a talent show and outdoor movie. The talents were all so amazing and we loved the movie! We even had popcorn and candy! It was a really fun and relaxing reunion...one that will be hard to top...it's our turn to help plan it next year!
