We have a new fun spot in Herriman and it's called Black Ridge Reservoir. We took the kids there on Pioneer Day. The beach was pretty crowded!
They have a cement wall that divides the shallow part from the deep part.
There is tons of sand!
Kate kept posing for her pictures.
Nate and the kids built this wall around Eli.
Nate decided to try out the deep part just as a big lightning storm hit! We got out of there pretty quickly after that!
We are still trying to get all the sand out of the car, but it was worth it!

First day of school! First day of school!
Well, it's that time of year again! Time for school!
Here is Isaac ready to head out the door. (with Eli standing close by)
Joseph giving his thumbs up.
Both boys: Joseph is in 1st and Isaac is in 2nd. (hence the fingers)
Kate was excited to walk the boys too.
Joseph has Mrs. Lynette Jost
Isaac has Mrs. Shannon Sorensen
So far it looks like it will be a good year!

Apricots!
Float Preview Party!
We took the kids to the Days of '47 parade float party. It was held in the Sandy Expo center. We got to get up close and personal with all of the amazing floats!
This one just happened to have a picture of our (Nate's and my) common ancestor, Allen Joseph Stout on it with his wife!
Here is a view of the whole float.
This one was made up of quilts that were to be donated to the Humanitarian Center after the parade. Isn't it cool!
This is another cool one. It portrays different liberties we enjoy.
The kids all got a balloon creation.
Here is Joseph with his machine gun.
Isaac and his bow and arrow.
Kate with her butterfly.
and Eli with his dog.
I think we are going to make this a family tradition!

Girls' Camp 2009
In July our ward took the Young Women up to Girls' Camp! We used the property that the Barne's family owns and had a nice time.
I was able to join them for one whole day with Adrienne Syme and Julie Rowe.
This is what the beautiful cliffs looked like!
This is what I found the girls doing when we arrived...certification!
You can see Kayla, Shelli (our assistant camp director), Madison, Kailee, Danielle and Shaylee.
Kayla!
Valerie (our camp director) and Sierra!
Pam (our Secretary) and Caitlyn!
Taylar!
Amy with Mikelyn in the background! Shhh! ;)
Kailee!
Julie (our Mia maid advisor) and Amy making potato salad.
Some of the Youth Leaders making a back scratching train.
Valerie going down the river.
Dave and a couple of the girls going down the river.
Another shot of the beautiful cliffs above our camp!
Here is a view of the cabin that is on the property, the girls didn't sleep in it though.
Waiting in line to eat our yummy dutch oven dinner.
I like this picture of the cliffs peaking out above the trees.
They all can't wait for next year!
